Pervaide

AgConceptsSoil Amendment

Soil penetrant and conditioner that breaks down compaction, improves water infiltration, and enhances nutrient movement through the soil profile.

Application Rate:8–16 oz/acre

Product Overview

Pervaide is a specialized soil penetrant and conditioner engineered to overcome the physical barriers that limit crop productivity. Compacted soils, hardpan layers, and hydrophobic soil conditions all restrict root development, water infiltration, and the downward movement of nutrients. Pervaide attacks these barriers at the molecular level.

The active chemistry in Pervaide reduces the surface tension of soil water, allowing it — and dissolved nutrients — to penetrate deeper into the soil profile. This improves oxygen exchange in the root zone, promotes deeper rooting, and enables plants to access a larger reservoir of nutrients and stored moisture.

Pervaide is especially valuable in irrigated production systems where water distribution across a field is uneven. By improving penetration and lateral water movement, Pervaide helps achieve more uniform crop establishment and growth.

Regular use of Pervaide in compaction-prone fields reduces the need for deep tillage passes, saving fuel and equipment costs. It is fully compatible with most fertilizers and crop protection inputs and can be applied through ground rigs, center pivots, or drip irrigation.

When to Apply

1

Pre-season soil conditioning

Apply 2–4 weeks before planting for maximum compaction relief before roots develop.

2

Irrigation injection

Through center pivots or drip systems for ongoing soil penetration improvement.

3

Fall post-harvest

Fall application gives Pervaide the winter to work on hardpan layers.

Consult your agronomist for crop-specific timing. Rates may vary based on soil conditions, crop stage, and application method.

What to Actually Expect, Year by Year

We're not going to overpromise. Here's an honest look at what most farms experience.

🌱
Year 1

Physical results first

Compaction relief is often visible within weeks — better water infiltration, reduced ponding, improved root penetration. Year 1 results are structural. Severe compaction takes more than one season to fully remediate.

📈
Year 2

Roots go deeper

Root depth increases measurably. Crops access moisture deeper in the profile — critical during dry spells. Yield response improves as roots reach nutrients and moisture that were previously locked below the hardpan.

🏆
Year 3+

Profile stays open

Maintained with annual application, compaction layers don't rebuild. Farms with center pivot irrigation see the biggest long-term gains — an open soil profile means better water penetration and irrigation efficiency.

Results vary by soil type, climate, baseline soil health, and management. These represent typical outcomes across AgConcepts customer farms.

Fixed my wet corners better than tillage would have

I had two fields with chronic wet corner problems — heavy clay, poor infiltration, standing water after any significant rain. I was considering strip-tilling to break up the compaction layer but didn't want to disrupt my no-till soil structure. My cover crop consultant suggested Pervaide applied before a cover crop termination. I applied at 1.5 qt/acre broadcast in spring. By June of that year, the difference was visible. The standing water problem went from lingering 5-7 da…
